I got my first Birchbox this last week, and it was the special Teen Vogue box! Birchbox is a monthly beauty box subscription for $10 a month, and if you review the products in your box every month you get 40-50 points + the 10 for the box that month. Every 100 points is worth $10 at Birchbox's online shop! It's a great deal since you're essentially getting each box for $4-5 if you end up using your points in their shop. I ended up getting :
1. Essie Luxeffects in Set in Stones Full size - $8
2. Tarte LipSurgance in Amused Full size - $24
3. Shiseido Oil-control Blotting Papers - Sample size of 10, so valued at $1.8
4. Twistband Hairtie in Red - One is $3 I believe?
5. Sample of Annic Goutal's Petite Cherie perfume. I don't give perfume samples values even though I love this scent!
Total Value = around $37
I know all of you are wondering about my post title, I do NOT like glitter! So i'm going to be including the Essie Nail polish in my giveaway (once I get 60 followers). Actually that glitter polish was the one that catched my eye haha ^^ I think it looks awesome :P I wish Birchbox would post to Finland too....

DeleteI had no idea that Birchbox did that points system! I had been wondering if I should sign up as it's been getting a lot of mixed reviews the pass few months, but that is a very nice incentive! LOL I can't believe the Essie Luxeffects was in your box! I have been wanting that for ages but I think $8 is a bit too much for nail polish :/
ReplyDeleteI agree, that's quite expensive, but their polish lasts forever! I think it's even better than Julep's to be honest.

Birchbox would be something similar to Glossybox in the U.K :) I love glitter nail polishes,not on their own but over a matte colour :)

That Tarte lip tint looks like a pretty shade. But the Essie polish would be the item I'd be immediately gravitating to if I received this box :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you got a really good box this month - the essie and tarte would have done it for me. Too bad Birchbox doesn't ship to Canada (*sigh*). Would love to see stuff like that in one of my Canadian sample boxes.
