April Blissmo Box - Beauty, Bath and Body

I received my second Blissmo Box today, and this time I chose the Beauty, Bath and Body themed box, everything is completely natural or organic, some are vegan as well. Here's what I got:

 1. Episencial's Soothing cream for eczema, itches and bothered skin. .75oz
Retail price = 10.99  for 4oz.
My Value =  $2.06
My Initial thoughts: This would have been nice for the winter, since I don't get eczema in the summer. And it would be nice for mosquito season. We'll see if I even get around to trying this until the fall...

2. DermaE Natural Bodycare - Tropical Anti-Aging eye Creme .5oz
This looks like something I would use actually, so i'm happy with it.
I looks like this retails at around from $14-20, but i'm going to give it the lower price since that's what amazon sells it for. Also this is the full size.

 3. SanRe Organic Skincare 100% Organic Chocolate Lips Moisturizer. This looks like a chapstick, I haven't tried it yet but I will let you know how it works. I'm VERY picky about my chapsticks...so we'll see.
This is sold for $4.99 and is also full size.

 4. Wembe Amazonion Soul Chocolate Cleansing Blend soap bar - 3oz.
This looks really neat actually. I'm not into bars of soap, but I've been meaning to try one with caffeine in it to see if it actually does everything it's supposed to for skin - exfoliate, helps circulation for decreasing cellulose etc. And this is actually a very big bar.
This is the full size, and it costs at $7.50. Also, this company looks REALLY cute, you should check out their website if you're interested in soaps.

Total value of box = $28.55

So this was more than the $19 I spend on the box, however I'm a little disappointed that there are only 4 products. I would have rather had smaller samples and more of them. Granted 3 of the 4 are full size, so it's a pretty good deal. And the company's are natural and organic so i'm glad to be supporting them.

Has anyone else received their April Blissmo yet?

Sample Society - March Box and Reviews

So It's been about half a month since I've received my Sample Society subscription beauty box. Sample Society is part of Allure magazine and Beauty Bar. It's $15 a month along with a $15 coupon code towards a $50 purchase on their site (so if you buy something from their site then you pretty much get the sample box free!). The catch is that you have to buy something from one of the brands that was in the box for the month, luckily for me I love Fekkai hair products so this was easy for me!

1. Dermologica Daily Microexfoliant: I have never been able to get rid of my blackheads on my nose. ONE use of this product and they went away! I was absolutely SHOCKED! I try not to use it daily (even though you are supposed to) because I don't want my face to get used to it. So I use it about 2-3 times a week. This retails at $40-50 for a full size. And I believe this sample is about 1/3 of the full size.
2. Ren Face Mask: I was not actually interested in this product and ended up trading it with someone on makeuptalk.com.  But I have honestly heard nothing but great things about it from the other members on the forum. This retials at $55 for a full size.
4. Oscar De La Renta's Esprit D'Oscar Deluxe rollerball perfume: I didn't like this perfume...it smelled like giorgio (what my grandma uses). So I'm sending this off in another trade.  It's an impressive sample size though so I hope to get a different perfume from this beauty box at some point.

4. Skyn Icelandic Eye Relief Pen FULL SIZE: This is full size and retails at $22 I believe. I keep this at my office and it's nice to have since it's so portable. I'm not sure if it's working for my dark circles yet but it's really refreshing.
5. Fekkai Advanced Glossing Cream: This is a cream I have already been using for years. I think they changed the formula a bit but it still works well. I love it, and I use it after I straighten my hair to make it smoother and anti-frizzy. I love this cream and will probably use it for the rest of my life :) So i'm glad I got more of the product even though I already own the full size.

Overall this was a good box, the dermologica alone was worth the $15 since I got to try something that FINALLY gets rid of my blackheads! I also used the coupon code to get some more Fekkai products (which I will soon review). So I definitely got my money's worth out of this box and am excited to see what I get next.

The next box for April is being shipped to me now so i'll review it ASAP!

The Look Bag - March

Hey beauty lovers! I'm back for another Look Bag review. I haven't tried everything yet so this will be a quick info post.  I wasn't too happy with this month's back since it's all geared towards skincare (and anti-aging ones at that).  I also wasn't very thrilled because the only makeup product was the full-size product, which would normally be great but it's a nude lip liner. I rarely use lip products let alone liners.

1. Indie Lee - Squaline Face Oil around (this bottle didn't have a size label)  Indie Lee's website says this is for diminishing fine lines and anti-aging
2. Cattiva Nude Lip Liner retails at $20 I will probably include this in my giveaway!
3. SheaTerra Rose Hips Black Soap 1oz. I'm excited for this sample, i've heard great things about it. And apparently Dr. Oz promotes it too :)
4. Glam Glow .24oz.  This is a mud mask, and smells great. I haven't tried it yet but i'm pretty excited to. However it will probably only last 2 applications
5. Frownies - this is ridiculous in my opinion. I can see that this is a good and respectable product, however everyone got one in their Look Bag this month regardless of what their age is. I'm 24 and there's no need for this.  If anyone is interested in this please let me know and I will add it to my giveaway (or just send it to you anyway!)

Was this worth $10? In my opinion no. Considering i'm only going to use 2 of the products and they're not even that big!

For those of you who are interest in joining, this was just MY bag. Others got different items (really neat hand made soaps and lip glosses and eye brow products). So there are very good things about the Look Bag, this bag just wasn't suitable for me since I don't wear lip liner or have aging skin right now!

Birchbox Teen Vogue - and Essie Giveaway!

Edit: Since more than 5 people commented, I WILL be including the Essie in my giveaway! Only 20 more followers until I put it up!

I got my first Birchbox this last week, and it was the special Teen Vogue box! Birchbox is a monthly beauty box subscription for $10 a month, and if you review the products in your box every month you get 40-50 points + the 10 for the box that month. Every 100 points is worth $10 at Birchbox's online shop! It's a great deal since you're essentially getting each box for $4-5 if you end up using your points in their shop. Sign up here if you want to join!

I ended up getting :
1. Essie Luxeffects in Set in Stones Full size - $8
2.  Tarte LipSurgance in Amused Full size - $24
3. Shiseido Oil-control Blotting Papers - Sample size of 10, so valued at $1.8
4. Twistband Hairtie in Red - One is $3 I believe?
5. Sample of Annic Goutal's Petite Cherie perfume. I don't give perfume samples values even though I love this scent!

Total Value = around $37

I haven't tried the LipSurgence yet, but this is the swatch, as you can see it's almost the same color as the Birchbox Pink tissue paper :)

I know all of you are wondering about my post title, I do NOT like glitter! So i'm going to be including the Essie Nail polish in my giveaway (once I get 60 followers). But only if at least 5 people comment on this post and express interest in this! Otherwise i'll trade it on the Makeuptalk.com forum.

Remember, sign up here if you want to join their monthly beauty box program!

I paid for this box on my own, and these reviews are strictly of my own desire.

Blissmo March Intro Box

I got my Blissmo box about 2 weeks ago and at this point i've tried everything so I can review it. This was the Fitness Foods choice for my introduction box, and I'm not sure how much it actually costs (value wise) but I don't mind because I like it a lot!

I don't know if you can see in this picture, but the Vanilla Orgain Protein Shake spilled all over everything and kind of dried into a crust...I couldn't try this product because it had gone bad from being open and was actually curdled... The chocolate one was pretty good, it's not too sweet which I like. It's a LOT of calories (255 I think) which I actually really like since I haven't been eating much lately (because of my breakup). It's also good for me because I don't eat much in the mornings so this is an easy thing to have instead. The texture is a bit too thick though...but overall I like it.

Sorry about this picture, i'm not sure how to rotate it on the blog! If you know please let me know :) Anyway, the Flax Crackers were AMAZING. I LOVE THEM. I love flax though, and seasoned crackers, so these were great. I'm probably going to buy a bunch from Amazon now.

The dried mango was very good too, a little pricey on Amazon but I still likd it.

The Plant Fusion powder/protein shake was an absolute fail for me...I tried mixing it with both milk and water (it asks for water) but couldn't get it to mix AT ALL. I could tell it was tasty...but it just ended up being a bunch of clumps in my water/milk and I ended up dumping it out.

I liked the Larabar, i've heard a lot about them but have never wanted to spend money on them. It was good, but nothing different than a Luna bar/Clif bar kind of thing.

The Blueberry Almond Kutoa bar on the other hand was amazing, which is surprising because I hate blueberry. It was filling (again something like 230 calories) and tasted great and unique. Unfortunately I can't find this to buy anywhere beside on their company website....and it's quite pricey.

Anyway, that's my review! I'm signed up for the 3 month subscription so I should be choosing my next theme soon :)
