CellCeuticals Interactive Moisture Serum Review

So apparently my readers want more reviews! So that's what I'll do! :)

A few weeks ago I won a Facebook drawing from BeautyArmy (another great monthly subscription box for beauty products).  I won a full size CellCeuticals Interactive Moisture Serum that retails at $65 for 1.25oz which you can find/buy here.

This is what it states on their site:

What is it?

InterActive Moisture™ Serum2 with exclusive Aqua Protein™ Complex delivers the powerful action of two concentrated treatments that mimic the skin’s natural moisturizing system. This dual phase hydro-lipid formula is a silky, weightless serum with a potent infusion of poly-ceramides, essential lipids, peptides, and aquaporin moisture factors that provide immediate, long-lasting, and intense hydration for all skin types.

Now I know this seems pricey, so I'm glad I got to try it ahead of time. Because of the shape I thought that this was much more thatn 1.25oz. However because it's a dual chamber product (which I think is really neat) and had a hollow inside, it's a lot less than it seems.

I've yet to find a good moisturizer for my nighttime regime that doesn't feel greasy in the morning. Even when I try some and they may seem great and absorbent at the time, for some reason I'll still wake up with a greasy face.

This product is not like that! I honestly didn't think I would like it because it's a serum, but it goes on easily (and you barely need any) and moisturizes right away. Not only do I not feel any grease in the morning, the minute I put it on at night my face feels super soft!! I LOVE IT!

Pros:
- Absorbs immedietely
- Non greasy feeling
- Makes my face super soft!

Cons:
- It's a little too pricey for how much is in it...but I have a feeling that this will last me about a month if I use it every night.
- I sometimes find it's difficult to get an equal amount of both chamber solutions with one pump. This may not be too good at the end when I have some of one left and none of the other. But it really hasn't been a significant amount/difference.
- I have to remind myself to not use a full pump, otherwise I end up getting way to much and wasting it. Half a pump is enough.

Overall though, I LOVE IT. If I can't find a better item by the time I run out, i'll probably be buying this!

Grade: A+

Giveaway Time! - U.S. only

I decided to start my giveaway early, after looking at feedburner it looks like I have 50 followers! I'm so happy that you guys are excited about the Essie polish, so I decided i'm going to start the the giveaway now. I'm going to keep most of the goodie bag a surprise, since I think this is more fun this way :)

But these are a couple of the things I'll let you know will be in there:

Essie Set in Stones
Cattiva Full Size Lipliner in Nude
NYC Automatic Eyeliner in Brazen Blue (this is opened but I only swatched it)

I'm still going around picking things up, so for the most part things will be a surprise! If you'd like to suggest any items you've wanted to try, leave me a comment and I'll see what I can do!

The Look Bag - March

Hey beauty lovers! I'm back for another Look Bag review. I haven't tried everything yet so this will be a quick info post.  I wasn't too happy with this month's back since it's all geared towards skincare (and anti-aging ones at that).  I also wasn't very thrilled because the only makeup product was the full-size product, which would normally be great but it's a nude lip liner. I rarely use lip products let alone liners.

1. Indie Lee - Squaline Face Oil around (this bottle didn't have a size label)  Indie Lee's website says this is for diminishing fine lines and anti-aging
2. Cattiva Nude Lip Liner retails at $20 I will probably include this in my giveaway!
3. SheaTerra Rose Hips Black Soap 1oz. I'm excited for this sample, i've heard great things about it. And apparently Dr. Oz promotes it too :)
4. Glam Glow .24oz.  This is a mud mask, and smells great. I haven't tried it yet but i'm pretty excited to. However it will probably only last 2 applications
5. Frownies - this is ridiculous in my opinion. I can see that this is a good and respectable product, however everyone got one in their Look Bag this month regardless of what their age is. I'm 24 and there's no need for this.  If anyone is interested in this please let me know and I will add it to my giveaway (or just send it to you anyway!)

Was this worth $10? In my opinion no. Considering i'm only going to use 2 of the products and they're not even that big!

For those of you who are interest in joining, this was just MY bag. Others got different items (really neat hand made soaps and lip glosses and eye brow products). So there are very good things about the Look Bag, this bag just wasn't suitable for me since I don't wear lip liner or have aging skin right now!

Birchbox Teen Vogue - and Essie Giveaway!

Edit: Since more than 5 people commented, I WILL be including the Essie in my giveaway! Only 20 more followers until I put it up!

I got my first Birchbox this last week, and it was the special Teen Vogue box! Birchbox is a monthly beauty box subscription for $10 a month, and if you review the products in your box every month you get 40-50 points + the 10 for the box that month. Every 100 points is worth $10 at Birchbox's online shop! It's a great deal since you're essentially getting each box for $4-5 if you end up using your points in their shop. Sign up here if you want to join!

I ended up getting :
1. Essie Luxeffects in Set in Stones Full size - $8
2.  Tarte LipSurgance in Amused Full size - $24
3. Shiseido Oil-control Blotting Papers - Sample size of 10, so valued at $1.8
4. Twistband Hairtie in Red - One is $3 I believe?
5. Sample of Annic Goutal's Petite Cherie perfume. I don't give perfume samples values even though I love this scent!

Total Value = around $37

I haven't tried the LipSurgence yet, but this is the swatch, as you can see it's almost the same color as the Birchbox Pink tissue paper :)

I know all of you are wondering about my post title, I do NOT like glitter! So i'm going to be including the Essie Nail polish in my giveaway (once I get 60 followers). But only if at least 5 people comment on this post and express interest in this! Otherwise i'll trade it on the Makeuptalk.com forum.

Remember, sign up here if you want to join their monthly beauty box program!

I paid for this box on my own, and these reviews are strictly of my own desire.

Blissmo March Intro Box

I got my Blissmo box about 2 weeks ago and at this point i've tried everything so I can review it. This was the Fitness Foods choice for my introduction box, and I'm not sure how much it actually costs (value wise) but I don't mind because I like it a lot!

I don't know if you can see in this picture, but the Vanilla Orgain Protein Shake spilled all over everything and kind of dried into a crust...I couldn't try this product because it had gone bad from being open and was actually curdled... The chocolate one was pretty good, it's not too sweet which I like. It's a LOT of calories (255 I think) which I actually really like since I haven't been eating much lately (because of my breakup). It's also good for me because I don't eat much in the mornings so this is an easy thing to have instead. The texture is a bit too thick though...but overall I like it.

Sorry about this picture, i'm not sure how to rotate it on the blog! If you know please let me know :) Anyway, the Flax Crackers were AMAZING. I LOVE THEM. I love flax though, and seasoned crackers, so these were great. I'm probably going to buy a bunch from Amazon now.

The dried mango was very good too, a little pricey on Amazon but I still likd it.

The Plant Fusion powder/protein shake was an absolute fail for me...I tried mixing it with both milk and water (it asks for water) but couldn't get it to mix AT ALL. I could tell it was tasty...but it just ended up being a bunch of clumps in my water/milk and I ended up dumping it out.

I liked the Larabar, i've heard a lot about them but have never wanted to spend money on them. It was good, but nothing different than a Luna bar/Clif bar kind of thing.

The Blueberry Almond Kutoa bar on the other hand was amazing, which is surprising because I hate blueberry. It was filling (again something like 230 calories) and tasted great and unique. Unfortunately I can't find this to buy anywhere beside on their company website....and it's quite pricey.

Anyway, that's my review! I'm signed up for the 3 month subscription so I should be choosing my next theme soon :)

Love With Food - March 2012 Box Review

I got my first Love With Food box on Wednesday! I'm pretty excited because the products are AMAZING. I actually have only a couple left to finish at this point. To recap, Love With Food is $14 a month for a box full of gourmet samples, which you can find the full products on their site to buy. They also donate a meal to charity for every box they sell! They give great discounts on the products to their members. So even if you don't want to buy the monthly box you can still join for free and get their discounts. Also, if you use the coupon LOVEVIP you can get your first box for free!

Most all of these products you can find on their site under "offers."

These Asian Jerky strips are amazing! They suggest heating them up but I ate them just as they are and loved them! They're a little pricey on the site even after the discount, but I've never really bought jerky before so this may be normal.

The Yoga Vive Chips are delicious! They are crunchy and taste strawberry and apple. This is one of the best products in the box in my opinion! I haven't tried the Vanilla Fig Bar yet but I'm looking forward to it because I know how good figs are nutritionally.

I haven't tried the Hemp Hearts yet but will probably put them in my cereal or yogurt, pretty excited about these since they seem so unique. The box came with 2 Dark chocolate coffee bars, but I ate one already :).  They're pretty good, but I've had better dark chocolate coffee bars for cheaper.

The box also came with small 5 samples of Stash's granola bars, but the picture I had of them isn't loading right on my computer for some reason. Unfortunately I did eat all of them (or fortunately because they were so good!) but the flavors were a mixture of peanut butter, chocolate, almond, cherry and other goodness. They're quite pricey actually...but I think it's because they are such great quality. They don't taste grainy or bready like other granola bars, these are extremely good-both in taste and texture.

So if you want to try out a free box of Love With Food, or just sign up for the deals, go here!

JULEP MAVEN - First Box for a Penny! And $20 Mystery Box!

Hey everyone, I'm not the biggest nail polish person. However this is because I bite my nails constantly (grad school stress...), and usually just stick with black nail polish when I want to strengthen them and grow them out for a bit.

I've heard GREAT things about Julep's services and products and decided to give it a try since the first box is only a penny if you use the code MARCHINTRO. It's basically a monthly subscription, giving you $40-100 of products for $20 a a month. You can also skip a month if you would like or cancel anytime (even after your free box). You also take a quiz that tells you which "style" you are, giving you the option every month to stick with your style's box of the month or switch to another.  You can always see what all the boxes will be ahead of time so that you can pick which you want or skip the month.

So I went ahead and bought the .01 cent first box (my style is It Girl so I will be getting 3 polishes, which I will review), and then realized that they have another deal going on! A deal that is sure to go quickly and is already selling out! Julep is having a mystery box sale for St. Patrick's day. The box is retailed at $60, and can be anywhere from $60-200 worth of products. However if you use the coupon GREEN you can get it for $20!  They only have 2000 available so get it while you can! After signing up here, click on this site to buy the mystery box.

Or just try out the first box free :)

Revlon Color Stay Lip Colors

I bought these lip colors about 2 months ago from CVS. They all ended up being around the same color however...which is probably why they were the only ones that were 75% off! But either way I decided I should do a review of them.

In the order they appear in the above pictures above:
1. ColorStay Mineral Lipglaze in Perpetual Plum
2. ColorStay Mineral Lipglaze in Forever Raisin
3. ColorStay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick in Maximum Mocha

The ColorStay Ultimate definitely lives up to it's name, I made the mistake of putting it on first when I was trying them out and actually had to scrub it off with a toothbrush (ouch!) The problem with this one however, is that it's extremely liquidy at first and gets all over your teeth (or at least mine). But once you let it dry, or matte it down, it stays on all day. The other issue I have is that it's extremely sticky, and that feeling that doesn't really go away. The color is a nice purple/red with gold undertones. Grade: C-

The Mineral Lipglazes don't stay on as long, and they actually rub off on mugs/glasses as well. But they are a lot more moisturizing and aren't liquidy. They have the consistency of regular lip colors. The colors are so similar, but the raisin is definitely more red than the other. Grade: B

You may not be able to notice the difference in these pictures, which is mostly my camera's fault, but also the fact that they are extremely similar colors with subtle differences. Take note that in the Ultimate one, you can see how it became sticky and actually sunk into my lips. They didn't smooth out my lips at all.
